Forest School Inspire Workshops!
The children in Dragonflies and Herons have had a super day with their grown ups for our first Inspire Forest School Workshops.
Each class completed two activities, including a fire pit where they had hot chocolate and s'mores.
In Dragonflies, the children created a piece of artwork using a Japanese technique called 'Hapa Zome'. They created a pattern using natural materials and then using small hammers they enjoyed hitting the piece of material until the leaf and petal dye showed through.
In Herons, they learnt how to weave foraged natural materials around sticks in order to make a natural decoration to take home.
A big thank you to Miss Garrett for organising the activities and to all of the grownups who were able to join us this morning and this afternoon; we hope you had a lovely time!
